Barbara Capaldo holds a M.Ed. and is the founder and director of InSight Education Center. She is a trainer, presenter, early Childhood liaison, and consultant in the areas of communications, parenting, child behavior, and class room management. She has more than 15 years experience training and educating parents, teachers, and other professionals both in her private practice and in her work with child care centers, school systems, social service agencies, and private organizations. Tuesday October 10 6:30-8:30pm All Things to All People: Letting go of the super caregiver syndrome and taking care of you Holly Elissa Bruno, MA JD Holly Elissa Bruno, MA, JD, has taught the "human side of management" course in a wide variety of states and cultures across the country. She is well known as a featured speaker at NAEYC Annual Conferences and as a keynoter who has presented from Budapest to Milwaukee. Her articles appear in "Childcare Exchange." As a recovering attorney, Holly Elissa focuses on personnel and human rights law. Holly believes that working with adults is as much fun and as inspirational as working with children. Friday November 10 8:30am-12pm & 1-3pm CPR The Challenging Child (1-3pm) Sharon Woodward Sharon Woodward has an educational background in social work. She was a family child care licensor for the former OCCS for 20 years. She also owned and operated a large group child care center in S. Burlington, VT for 5 years. Monday January 22 6:30-8:30pm Infant/Toddler Care and Development Karen Heavey, MS & Kayte Gorski Karen Heavey, Program Coordinator for Cole Harrington’s Infant/Toddler Enrichment Center, holds a MS in birth to three development and intervention. She has twelve years experience working with infants and toddlers. Karen was formerly an Early Childhood Specialist for Cole Harrington’s Family Child Care System. Kayte Gorski is a full time graduate student at Wheelock College. She has eight years experience working with infants and toddlers. Saturday February 3 8:30am-12:30pm Mental Health in Early Childhood Education Jeanine Fitzgerald Jeanine is a Certified Human Behavior Consultant and Owner of The Better Behavior Bureau. In addition, she holds certifications in Physical Education and Special Education. Over the past 26 years, Jeanine has provided expertise in program development and assessment, leadership and management, child development services, parent and professional development training, and keynote presentations on a State, Regional and National level. She has appeared on public television stations in Massachusetts and Vermont. Jeanine travels throughout the country to work in child care centers, family child care homes, Head Start Programs and public school systems. In addition, she has authored a book and taught at the college level. Saturday March 3 8:30am-12:30pm A Playful and Effective Way of Managing Feelings and Behaviors Sarah O’Brien, LICSW, RPT-S Sarah O’Brien is a licensed social worker specializing in play therapy. She currently is in private practice at Providence Play Therapy Associates and is the President of New England Associates for Play Therapy.
