WHO'S WHO AT COLE-HARRINGTON
FAMILY CHILD CARE SYSTEM (FCC) ADMINISTRATION GAIL H. BROWN, Program Director (EEC Director l) has been with Cole-Harrington for the past twenty-five years. Gail has a BS and M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education, a M.Ed. in Special Education and MSW. Prior to working at Cole-Harrington, Gail was director of a child care and family child care program for one year, and was on the education staff of the Brookline Early Education Project for six years. Additional positions held since joining the staff of Cole-Harrington include the following: Project Director for Canton Early Education Planning Grant “Working Together for Young Children,” Brookline Home Visitor-Outreach Program for Infants and Toddlers, Brookline Public Kindergarten Teacher (1983 to present), and Mass. State Department of Education Seminar presenter on the topic of Math and Problem Solving in Kindergarten. Gail is the director of all six Cole-Harrington programs.
MICHELLE BRADFORD, Program Coordinator, joined the FCC staff as an Early Childhood Specialist in September 1998. She became Assistant Program Coordinator in 2003 and Program Coordinator in July 2006. Michelle has a BS in Early Childhood Education and a M.Ed. in Special Education. Michelle is certified by the DOE to teach Preschool-Grade Three, and she also has Lead Teacher/Director certification through the Department of Early Education and Care. Michelle has worked in several childcare settings with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This experience includes four years in a Head Start program. Her most recent teaching experience involved working with elementary and preschool children with mild to moderate special needs in an inclusive public school setting. SARAH WORTON, Financial Coordinator, has been with Cole-Harrington since July 2000. She has a bachelor's degree in Economics from Regis College and recently received a Certificate in Professional Accountancy at Stonehill College. She has eighteen years experience in banking.
WENDY MORAN, Administrative Assistant, started in October 1994 as Cole-Harrington's Administrative Assistant. Wendy has a B.S. in Clothing and Textiles from Framingham State College and a M.Ed. in Health Education from Bridgewater State College. She taught home economics for seventeen years on the South Shore. In January 2000 she was promoted to Executive Assistant for Enable, Inc. She works with the Executive Director and acts as the Human Resource Manager while she continues to work with Cole-Harrington.
LINDA SCHELL, Secretary, joined the Cole-Harrington staff in October 2002 as the FCC secretary. She received her BA degree from Boston University in French and Education, and her MA from Boston College. For five years she was administrative assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School at Boston College, and she also worked at Brandeis University. For many years Linda taught private flute lessons. Most recently she was administrative assistant at a company handling international transportation claims. She has been extensively involved with issues involving special needs children, because of her own family situation, volunteer work, and participation in the management of a group home.
Early Childhood Specialists INEZ SPRINGER, Early Childhood Specialist, joined the FCC staff in August 2000, with a BS in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction, both from Lesley College. Inez is Director II and lead teacher certified for infants, toddlers and preschoolers through Office for Child Care Services. Inez has both taught and been a Director in center based childcare with toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners for the last 14 years. She has also worked with parents in many different capacities.
PAULINE ANDERSON, Early Childhood Specialist, joined the staff in July 2001, with an A.S. degree in special education. She has since received her BA from Bridgewater State College. Pauline has her CDA and twenty years experience working with children. She has Lead Teacher/Director II certification through the Department of Early Education and Care. For many years, Pauline has worked as a behavioral therapist and tutor for autistic children in Boston; she worked as a clinical worker at The Italian Home for Children, and worked with multi-handicapped children in the Boston Public Schools. Pauline held the position of lead teacher at ABCD in Boston for two years. Cole-Harrington is no stranger to Pauline. She was a Child Care Provider with Cole-Harrington for seven years. Pauline is happy to be part of the team that is devoted to the improvement of children's lives.
STACEY BURKE, Early Childhood Specialist, joined the FCC staff in December 2002. Stacey received her BS in Psychology from Bridgewater State College and her MS in Child Life and Family Studies from Wheelock College. She was most recently an OCCS licensed home childcare provider for two years. Prior to that Stacey worked in Early Intervention for the Kennedy-Donovan Center as a Developmental Specialist and at the Floating Hospital for Children at New England Medical Center as a Child Life Specialist with pediatric patients and their families.
EILEEN KELLEHER, Early Childhood Specialist, joined the FCC staff in March 2004. Eileen has a BS in Psychology from Bridgewater State College and a MS in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College. She holds a provisional certification from the Dept. of Education to teach Preschool through Grade Three and a Director and Lead Teacher certification from the Office for Child Care Services to work with infant, toddler and preschool children. Eileen has been working with young children for twelve years in various capacities. She began her experience as a teacher's assistant in a toddler classroom and later moved into positions as preschool teacher and lead preschool teacher. Eileen's most loved position, however, was that of infant teacher at a corporate child care center which she held for almost six years. Most recently, Eileen taught kindergarten for one year in the Taunton Public Schools and worked for South Bay Early Intervention for six months as a Developmental Specialist. NANCY SAFRAN, Early Childhood Specialist, joined the FCC staff in May 2006. She received her BS from Boston University. She received her MS from Wheelock College in Early Childhood with a K-3 teaching certification. Nancy has been Lead Teacher in Toddler and Preschool classrooms in center-based care. She was Director of a center in Boston and is Director II certified through the DEEC. Nancy worked for the Waltham Public schools as a Community Liaison for children with special needs. She is currently working part-time for the Brookline Health Dept. as an Early Childhood Specialist. CARYN HEIFETZ, Early Childhood Specialist, joined the FCC staff in August 2006. Caryn received her BA degree in Early Childhood Education from Bridgewater State College and is Director II certified through the Department of Early Education and Care. Caryn has both taught and been a director in center-based childcare with preschoolers, kindergarteners, and school age children for the last 13 years.
FAMILY SUPPORT CLINICIANS TRACI QUIGG, LICSW, Child and Family Support Clinician, joined the Family Childcare staff as a full Licensed Clinical Social Worker in March 2000, with a BS in Family and Child relations and a minor in Psychology from University of New Hampshire and MSW from Boston University. Traci's experience includes four years with the Head Start program as a Family Specialist and clinical individual therapy worker with children and adults.
HOLLY BOCA, LICSW, Child and Family Support Clinician, has been with Cole-Harrington since January 2002. Both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in social work focused on clinical work with children and families. Holly also completed a Post Graduate Fellowship in disabilities at Children's Hospital. Before coming to Cole-Harrington, Holly worked for seven years in a clinical capacity with children and families on an outpatient, school and home-based basis.
